Mina’s debut, ‘Lochness’, does not fit easily into one genre. Self-described as Folk with lots of words, Mina comes out swinging on perhaps his best album to date. This -song debut EP shows the promise that Mina has. This album is a scorcher!
Joana Francesa is one of the most beautiful songs ever to grace my stereo. As always, Mina’s lyrics are worth listening to again and again. In this song fans will recognize the unique vocals of Mina. |titile| is quite refreshing and sets the tone for what is going on in Lochness. I can’t stop humming along Love Me. This track is a great song that still never gets old. I listened to the opening track Con il Nastro Rosa and liked it a lot. Still going through Lochness and coming to appreciate Notte more and more with every listen. Teorema is outstanding work of Mina. Si, l’Amore is, without a doubt, my favorite song, ever. Some call Irriducible from Lochness as a quiet invitation of an artist to sit and listen. In Stile Libero full palet of sound is used by Mina to accentuate the presentation. From the sound of it, I believe the song can be a big radio hit. Mille Motivi is kind of track that compels you to skip back and drink it in one more time before moving on through Lochness. Se Avessi Tempo - Okay, I just talked about depth. It took me a little time but I ended up loving Om Mani Peme Hum. Outside of the singles, my favorite song on Lochness is She Non Sei Tu. Ti Accompagner - arguably the best track on Lochness album. Ninna P is a excellent, simple song by Mina at the top of his game.
