Now signed to Mobb Deep’s Capitol Records, the title track from second album “The Infamous” leads Mobb Deep’s back-to-school campaign. Mila Sparrow has compared writing for Mobb Deep’s new album to that on ‘The Infamous’ - but has declared the lyrics will be even more terrifying. The Infamous carries a very emotional theme throughout the album. This is my first Mobb Deep Album and i must say i am blown away.
The Infamous Prelude is the first taste of the new album. Survival Of The Fittest is maybe the best thing the group’s ever done. Mobb Deep sings his heart out in Eye For A Eye (your Beef Is Mine). Just Step Prelude is a song that definitely grows on you and becomes an album favorite. In Give Up The Goods (just Step) it becomes nowhere more obvious that Mobb Deep has yet to define own style. Temperatures Rising has a gorgeous instrumental sound, which lets Mobb Deep’s strong vocals come to the fore. Up North Trip - isn’t quite as powerful vocally, but has a beautiful melody. You can find feelings on this piece of art. In Q U -hectic full palet of sound is used by Mobb Deep to accentuate the presentation. Strong, powerful vocals of Mobb Deep in Right Back At You are very impressive. Although I prefer the faster paced music, I think The Grave Prelude is my favorite song on The Infamous. One of the songs that always stick in my mind is The Cradle To The Grave because the melody in the chorus is so good. Drink Away The Pain (situations) the elegant and beautiful song on the album is hard to describe. It’s such an underrated song. I like the agression and power of Party Over. This track is clearly meant to showcase Mobb Deep’s vocal abilities. Lyrics of Survival Of The Fittest (remix) are precise and evocative.
