It’s natural for MOBY to take a stab at ‘Voodoo Child (Poor In Ny Mix)’ considering her long-professed love for Gridlok. ‘Rare: The Collected B-Sides’ kicks the album off with a blast of pure pop energy. MOBY was a flawless and timeless record. Not surprising from MOBY and Rare: The Collected B-Sides together. MOBY is one of my favourite bands of all time.
Next Is The E (Club Mix) - This one makes me want to not only sing along. Drug Fits The Face (Drug Free Mix) is probably one of MOBY’s biggest successes for the album - it’s lovely to listen to. MOBY offers the kind of music here that makes you reflect on yourself. Uhf 2 - This happy song is an ode to optimism and an anthem. From the moment you listen to Time’s Up (Dust Mix) you’re hooked. Outside of the singles, my favorite song on Rare: The Collected B-Sides is Drop A Beat (Deep Mix). Mobility (Aqua Mix) is a gorgeous, simple song by MOBY at the top of his game. I Feel It (Synthe Mix) one is one of the better boring ones. Thousand actually sounds so joyous, that you can practically see a smile on MOBY’s face. Go (Woodtick Mix) is a bit of a show-tune. Go (Analog Mix) has a beautifully haunting disco flavor. This track is a great song that still never gets old. MOBY is one of artists that allow his songs like Go (Night Time Mix) to stand on their own and be heard. Don’t judge Go (Original Mix) on the first listening. Go (Low Spirit Mix) is outstanding work of MOBY. Go (Rainforest Mix) hits the heart. Strong, powerful vocals of MOBY in Go (Delirium Mix) are very impressive. The sound of Go (Voodoo Child Mix) is difficult to describe, as it seems to squirm in a sensual manner, unlike anything ever created. Overall a nice softer song. MOBY has created something that grabs you by the heart and gets you moving. One of the more genuine-sounding songs is Go (In Dub Mix). Go (Soundtrack Mix) is probably the highlight of the album. I can’t stop playing Go (Amphetamix).
