Morphine was a flawless and timeless record. Not surprising from Morphine and Opium (Bootleg) together. This disc has all of the essential Morphine classics. Opium (Bootleg) carries a very emotional theme throughout the album. Opium (Bootleg) touched my soul like nothing else.
Pulled Over The Car is nothing short of a modern masterpiece. I find myself hearing bits of Shame here and there throughout my waking hours. Morphine is one of artists that allow his songs like My brain to stand on their own and be heard. Birthday Cake presents the gorgeous mix of instruments on Opium (Bootleg). Have A Lucky Day - Well, here we get a bit more meaning. Such hits like Bo’s Veranda will leave you hooked. This is the most melodic ambitious and satisfying track in Opium (Bootleg). Simply the finest work ever from this multi-talented singer. It’s so catchy, it’s amazing. This is one of those tracks that should not be judged after the first hearing. All Wrong (Live) is flawed, nonetheless pretty good song. I hope to keep hearing Morphine works for a long time to come. Awesome song is really all that you can say about it. After few listenings I started to like Shark Patrol This Water (Live) more and more. Radar (Live) is really a nice song to relax and listen too. In Cure For Pain (Live) the light shines equally on lyrics, vocals and instrumentation. This is one of those songs that musicians strive to write and create.
