For older fans Morton Feldman: Three Voices for Joan La Barbara will put a massive smile accross your face. It’s a brave and brilliant refocusing of Morton Feldman energies, virtually a rebirth. After seeing Three Voices: Opening, I had to have a good Morton Feldman cd. I love this album so much, i’ve been crazy about Morton Feldman ever.
Although Three Voices: legato is very melodic it is far from sad. Three Voices: Slow Waltz is astounding. Three Voices: First Words is the albums biggest surprise. Three Voices: Whisper was the first single release from the album Morton Feldman: Three Voices for Joan La Barbara. Three Voices: Chords has a beautifully haunting disco flavor. It’s very catchy and easy to get into which is what you want in a song. I like Three Voices: Snow Falls because it’s extremely catchy and has awesome drumming. Three Voices: legato is a very catchy tune. Three Voices: Slow Waltz And Ending is kind of track that compels you to skip back and drink it in one more time before moving on through Morton Feldman: Three Voices for Joan La Barbara.
