Now signed to Mr.President’s Mute Records, the title track from second album “Up’n Away” leads Mr.President’s back-to-school campaign. This disc has all of the essential Mr.President classics. Since Mr.President last CD (Up’n Away) on Mute Records back in 1995, I have felt a massive void in my life. This is one of the best cd’s i have heard through the whole thing.
Up’n Away is filled with very deep emotions that will truly touch your heart. I came to like 4 On The Floor. On My Mind one is one of the better boring ones. I Believe is really the reason why I recommend buying Up’n Away. Close To You. is simple, dignified and effective, Mr.President refusing to over-emote, and demonstrating that less is more. Never Leave Me is a great song to contemplate the modern music and what it really is all about. I’ll Follow The Sun is the album’s biggest hit, I think. Simple and heartfelt closing track Easy Come, Easy Go closes Up’n Away on a high note. Get Up’n Away and turn on Sweet Lies if you are going to sip your wine late at night. In Close To You Heart you won’t find any flashy solos. Gonna Get Along has a fun tempo. I Would Die For You - is a breath or fresh air compared to many previous songs of Mr.President. I like the agression and power of Keep It Up!. Outro (0:59) - awsome. Some of the arrangements found on Up’n Away are surprisingly edgy.
