After seeing Citadel, I had to have a good Muslimgauze cd. Nowhere is this more so than on their re-working of Muslimgauze on ‘Citadel’. Since Muslimgauze last CD (Citadel) on Columbia Records back in 1994, I have felt a massive void in my life. If I may, I suggest “Citadel”. That one song is amazing!
Only one song from Citadel named Dharam Hinduja really got me. This track is possibly the biggest guilty pleasure on Citadel. Muslimgauze is one of artists that allow his songs like Masawi Wife and Child to stand on their own and be heard. From the moment you listen to Infidel you’re hooked. This song could easily nestle itself onto the world top playlists. Muslimgauze offers the kind of music here that makes you reflect on yourself. Ferdowsi good vocals.
