Muslimgauze was a flawless and timeless record. Not surprising from Muslimgauze and Eleven Minarets together. Since Muslimgauze last CD (Eleven Minarets) on Savoy Records back in 1996, I have felt a massive void in my life. John Digester has compared writing for Muslimgauze’s new album to that on ‘Eleven Minarets’ - but has declared the lyrics will be even more terrifying. One of Muslimgauze’s best albums yet.
What sets Eleven Minarets 2 apart is Muslimgauze’s innovative and organic way of creating atmospheres. Eleven Minarets 3 is flawed, nonetheless pretty good song. Voice and instruments in Eleven Minarets 4 complement each other. Eleven Minarets 5 is nothing short of a modern masterpiece. Eleven Minarets 6 is just a great song and one well worth taking the time to give it a good listen. Once Eleven Minarets 7 gets in your head, it will NEVER leave. Eleven Minarets 8 has to be one of the most beautiful tracks on the entire album. Get Eleven Minarets and turn on Eleven Minarets 9 if you are going to sip your wine late at night. Eleven Minarets 10 is a catchy, up-tempo track that has influence of music streams without leaning too much in that direction. Album opener Eleven Minarets 11 is a bright, upbeat ditty. I like the idea behind Eleven Minarets 12.
