Since Mynta last CD (Hot Madras) on Capitol Records back in 1995, I have felt a massive void in my life. This album has some very good songs like Hymn Of India and Sabir Khan Song. This disc has all of the essential Mynta classics. This album is a scorcher!
What sets Sabir Khan Song apart is Mynta’s innovative and organic way of creating atmospheres. Mynta has created something that grabs you by the heart and gets you moving. This track makes my mind whirl and vibrate with flowing energy. Hot Madras is possibly the most mysterious and inexplicable track Mynta ever produced. Excellent vocals and musical performances. Benam on Hot Madras is solid and easy to listen to. One of the songs that always stick in my mind is Bombay Kebab because the melody in the chorus is so good. Last Forest is the album’s biggest hit, I think. Felicita is probably one of Mynta’s biggest successes for the album - it’s lovely to listen to. Banfora (Intro) is maybe the best thing the group’s ever done. Once you hear Banfora, you will listen to it over and over. Opening track Morning Romance shows the best of Mynta.
