This compilation contains all of the biggest hits by Natalie Cole. Natalie Cole had quite a long carriere and they made many hits. It has been thirteen years Natalie Cole’ last studio CD, “Take A Look” which won Array Grammy Awards and was nominated for album of the year. Take A Look is preety good and all the songs have a good meaning behind them.
Some call I’m Beginning To See The Light from Take A Look as a quiet invitation of an artist to sit and listen. Swingin’ Shepherd Blues is perhaps one of the best tracks of the past decade. I loved Crazy He Calls Me the first time I heard it. Music and lyrics of Cry Me A River creates, for me, fertile ground for daydreaming. This song has very few things relative to that of it’s predecessor. Fiesta In Blue still maintains something of a specific flourish. A fantastic track full of wonder. Let There Be Love is a romantic if not formulaic ditty. It’s Sand Man actually sounds so joyous, that you can practically see a smile on Natalie Cole’s face. This song is like perfectly aged vintage bordeaux wine not a tequila shot. As Time Goes By the elegant and beautiful song on the album is hard to describe. Too Close For Comfort rocked my world when I popped it into my car stereo. So much energy, so exciting a sound.Overall a nice softer song. In Lovers Natalie Cole spins a tale you want to hear to the end. All About Love is an underrated song: I like its lyrics and melody a lot. Take A Look is a song that takes you on the journey before it reaches the conclusion.
