Underneath The Spirit Of Tranquillity is an amazing album, racked with beauty.Thom Yorke has compared writing for Necrophorus’s new album to that on ‘Underneath The Spirit Of Tranquillity’ - but has declared the lyrics will be even more terrifying. Since completing 1996’s ‘Empyrion’, Necrophorus fulfilled their contract with SixSteps records and where under no obligation to release another album. To me Necrophorus is the best band ever.
Music of Sophysis is gentle, never overbearing. Euthymia one of the most beautiful songs i’ve ever heard. Sentiment the elegant and beautiful song on the album is hard to describe. In In Silence it becomes nowhere more obvious that Necrophorus has yet to define own style. Within Tranquillity - another great track from the Underneath The Spirit Of Tranquillity album. La Sommeil (6:53) Not one of my favorites, but for a lot of people this is one of their best songs. Echo Morphologique to me is the best you can get from Necrophorus. Femmes Aux Tetes Des Fleurs Retrouvant Sur La Plage (10:52) a good melody. Voice and instruments in La Naissance Des Desirs Liquides complement each other. Necrophorus is one of artists that allow his songs like La Persistance De La Memoire to stand on their own and be heard. This is the kind of song I think of when I think of Necrophorus. Although (untitled) is very melodic it is far from sad. Opening track (untitled) shows the best of Necrophorus. (untitled) have really caught my ear and imagination.
