Since Nico last CD (Camera Obscura) on ForeFront Records back in 1996, I have felt a massive void in my life. six years ago, Nico briefly lived up to their terrific name, with an insanely addictive hit single called “Tananore”. Nico’s debut, ‘Camera Obscura’, does not fit easily into one genre. I greatly enjoyed this CD.
If you are a Nico fan, you will love Tananore. One of the more genuine-sounding songs is Win A Few. My Funny Valentine is a great opener for Camera Obscura. Nico must have run out of lyrics on the next track Das Lied Von Einsanen Madchens. Fearfully In Danger - isn’t quite as powerful vocally, but has a beautiful melody. This track is almost perfect, instrumentals and vocals combine awesomely. Into The Arena is a very catchy tune. The song Konig ending is my favorite… so catchy!
