This is the first studio album from NOFX since bad diagnosis in 1994. Maximum Rocknroll is an amazing album, racked with beauty.I am not a real Alternative music type of person, but i have to admit ‘Maximum Rocknroll’ really is amazing. This is one of NOFX best albums
The sound in Ant Attack is really warm and NOFX’s signature voice is still very much present. Bang Gang is marvelous song though, very addictive. Some of the arrangements found on Maximum Rocknroll are surprisingly edgy. This is one hell of a track. Cops and Donuts is sonically very melodic with nice haunting verses. I have all of NOFX’s tracks and Hit It Hold It Back is probably the most his introspective effort. Hold It Back is possibly the best song NOFX has come up. A unique and uplifting song. Charming song, great melody. Iron Man is nothing but pure genius. NOFX must have run out of lyrics on the next track Lager In The Dark. Live Your Life gets you up and jumping. Some call Memories from Maximum Rocknroll as a quiet invitation of an artist to sit and listen. This track, in particular, has the kind of undeniably catchy flavor. My Friends is the funkiest number on the album. I was truly moved when I heard No Problems. On My Mind one is one of the better boring ones. This track is possibly the biggest guilty pleasure on Maximum Rocknroll. I loved Six Pack Girls the first time I heard it. Such hits like Too Mixed Up will leave you hooked. This song may be the most meaningful.
