Novye Kompozitory’s debut, ‘Sputnik’, does not fit easily into one genre. Since Novye Kompozitory last CD (Sputnik) on Capitol Records back in 1994, I have felt a massive void in my life. Nowhere is this more so than on their re-working of Novye Kompozitory on ‘Sputnik - I’. Sputnik constantly brilliant.
Orbital Station “Alfa” is the song that really did it for me. This song is dynamic and dramatic. Entropy is simply exquisite. First time I heard White Island - Saami was on radio driving in my car and sonically it just sounded amazing.Don’t judge Crop Circles on the first listening. Artefact - 225 - isn’t quite as powerful vocally, but has a beautiful melody. |titile| is the kind of record that makes you remember why music can be so addictive. Inside - Upside is perfect. You have to get essence of the Sputnik - V’s power, to truly understand this masterpiece.
