This -song debut EP shows the promise that Ole Erling has. It’s a brave and brilliant refocusing of Ole Erling energies, virtually a rebirth. I am not a real Instrumental music type of person, but i have to admit ‘Hammond Hits -From The 70’s’ really is amazing. Such great and happy songs.
From the sound of it, I believe the song can be a big radio hit. Lyrics of Che Sara/This Is My Song are precise and evocative. I have all of Ole Erling’s tracks and Eres Tu is probably the most his introspective effort. Feelings is a song to savor, to listen to from every angle. Charming song, great melody. Simple and heartfelt closing track Killing Me Softly With His Song closes Hammond Hits -From The 70’s on a high note. Nice and different song. A unique and uplifting song. Listening to Seasons In The Sun you can hear that Ole Erling has still amazing chemistry with band members. I hope to keep hearing Ole Erling works for a long time to come. I listened to the opening track Tie A Yellow Ribbon ‘Round The Ole Oak Tree and liked it a lot. Such hits like Tristeza will leave you hooked. Waterloo is the funkiest number on the album. Y Viva Espana is absolutely incredible. This is one hell of a track.
