It’s a brave and brilliant refocusing of Oval energies, virtually a rebirth. On Systemisch album, Oval have renewed their membership in the ‘if it ain’t broke…’ school of songwriting. Since Oval last CD (Systemisch) on Savoy Records back in 1996, I have felt a massive void in my life. I love this album so much, i’ve been crazy about Oval ever.
Oval emotions are reflected through Aero Deck. The Politics Of Digital Audio is an underrated song: I like its lyrics and melody a lot. Schoner Wissen had me crying as I was able to relate so well. This track is just fantastic from start to finish. Mediaton rocked my world when I popped it into my car stereo. I think Tonregie is the best song Oval has ever done. Oval Office is kind of track that compels you to skip back and drink it in one more time before moving on through Systemisch. Compact Disc the elegant and beautiful song on the album is hard to describe. Post-Post is the album’s biggest hit, I think. It’s a great pleasure to listen to Gabba Nation from the beginning to the end.
