Lead single “Song from the Planet” and “Global House” start with near-whispers before kicking into giddily catchy, fuzz box-driven hollered hooks. Mila Sparrow has compared writing for Oystein Sevag’s new album to that on ‘Global House’ - but has declared the lyrics will be even more terrifying. It’s a brave and brilliant refocusing of Oystein Sevag energies, virtually a rebirth. Global House constantly brilliant.
Music and lyrics of Global House creates, for me, fertile ground for daydreaming. Norwegian Mountains is so unique, as each one of the songs is. Birds Flying is filled with very deep emotions that will truly touch your heart. In Evening you won’t find any flashy solos. No Oystein Sevag song has come close to capturing my attention as Thundernight did. This track is clearly meant to showcase Oystein Sevag’s vocal abilities. Joy great lyrics, dark, deep, angry and cool. The sound in Reflection is really warm and Oystein Sevag’s signature voice is still very much present. Back in the Jungle is a great song to contemplate the modern music and what it really is all about. Paris - is a breath or fresh air compared to many previous songs of Oystein Sevag. Behind the Mirror is a bit different from Oystein Sevag stereotypical stuff.
