‘71 - 75′ kicks the album off with a blast of pure pop energy. This compilation contains all of the biggest hits by Pappo. Since Pappo last CD (71 - 75) on Capitol Records back in 1996, I have felt a massive void in my life. This is my first Pappo Album and i must say i am blown away.
It’s very catchy and easy to get into which is what you want in a song. Algo ha cambiado - I just love it. Awesome song is really all that you can say about it. I like the idea behind Tren de las 16. What sets Insoluble apart is Pappo’s innovative and organic way of creating atmospheres. Solitario Juan is a song to savor, to listen to from every angle. In Desconfio de la vida Pappo spins a tale you want to hear to the end. This song may be the most meaningful. Charming song, great melody. Trabajando en el ferrocarril - For me, this is the best of the album. This track is a killer, it just grabs you instantly. One of the more genuine-sounding songs is Stratocaster Boogie. Musically Sucio y desprolijo is superior to other tracks in 71 - 75. I love the melodic melody of Fiesta cervezal and to this day it makes me feel good. I have all of Pappo’s tracks and Abelardo el pollo is probably the most his introspective effort. El palacio de la montana en invierno one is one of the better boring ones. Outside of the singles, my favorite song on 71 - 75 is Gato de la calle negra. Con Elvira es otra cosa is a exquisite sing-along. Mirese adentro is a fine track on any terms. Simply the finest work ever from this multi-talented singer.
