It has been fifteen years Part, Arvo’ last studio CD, “Fratres” which won Array Grammy Awards and was nominated for album of the year. After seeing Fratres (For Strings and Percussion), I had to have a good Part, Arvo cd. This is one of the best Cd’s Part, Arvo has dropped to date. This album is awesome.
This track is a killer, it just grabs you instantly. I like to sing along with Cantus In Memory Of Benjamin Britten (For Strings and One Bell), though I mess up the lyrics sometimes. Fratres (For Wind Octet and Percussion) makes a person feel excellent. Fratres (For Eight Cellos) presents the gorgeous mix of instruments on Fratres. Summa (For Strings) make listening to Part, Arvo like being in some sort of time warp. This is the most melodic ambitious and satisfying track in Fratres. It’s so catchy, it’s amazing. This track is a fabulous selection of easy listening, suitable for any age, taste or occasion.
