fourteen years ago, Patrick O’hearn briefly lived up to their terrific name, with an insanely addictive hit single called “Two Continents”. On Trust album, Patrick O’hearn have renewed their membership in the ‘if it ain’t broke…’ school of songwriting. While no new Patrick O’hearn album is in sight, the artist has been road testing new songs during 1995 tour in Australia. This is the best album I have heard in a long time
As always, Patrick O’hearn’s lyrics are worth listening to again and again. Equinox is a romantic if not formulaic ditty. Once you hear Trust, you will listen to it over and over. It’s very catchy and easy to get into which is what you want in a song. The Lone Man is pretty funky and mellow. 3 Circles is a song you cannot help but think about at odd moments in your day. Farewell is a medium tempo tune.
