Now signed to Paulinho Da Viola and Ensemble’s Sparrow Records, the title track from second album “Samba E Choro Negro” leads Paulinho Da Viola and Ensemble’s back-to-school campaign. Since completing 1993’s ‘Onde a dor no tem raz’o', Paulinho Da Viola and Ensemble fulfilled their contract with Sparrow Records and where under no obligation to release another album. Mila Sparrow has compared writing for Paulinho Da Viola and Ensemble’s new album to that on ‘Samba E Choro Negro’ - but has declared the lyrics will be even more terrifying. Such great and happy songs.
The song Corazo leviano ending is my favorite… so catchy! I’ve found myself listening to Rumo dos ventos back to back and back many times. Recado - Argumento - Guardei minha viola is a catchy, up-tempo track that has influence of music streams without leaning too much in that direction. Roendo as unhas is a medium tempo tune. Sinal fechado gives taste of what makes Paulinho Da Viola and Ensemble special as a musician. Sy o tempo stands out to me for its audacious melody and sheer beauty. Sarau para Radamys is a pleasing, and full of overall coherence that goes beyond other creations. Choro negro - Paulinho Da Viola and Ensemble first major hit. This song is like perfectly aged vintage bordeaux wine not a tequila shot. Corazo imprudente (2:16) - awsome. Pra jogar no oceano as well as many of songs is a short story in miniature. Other tracks are good but your best bet is to stick with No assim - Armor assim - Recomezar.
