Self-described as Dance with lots of words, Pet Shop Boys comes out swinging on perhaps his best album to date. Lead single “Before” and “The Truck Driver and His Mate” start with near-whispers before kicking into giddily catchy, fuzz box-driven hollered hooks. Mila Sparrow has compared writing for Pet Shop Boys’s new album to that on ‘Before (Nl # 1)’ - but has declared the lyrics will be even more terrifying. Overall, I would highly recommend Before (Nl # 1) CD.
The Truck Driver and His Mate is one of the most beautiful songs ever to grace my stereo. Hit and Miss without a doubt is the standout song of Before (Nl # 1). In The Night 1995 is the albums lead single as well as biggest hit.
