Peter Baumann was a flawless and timeless record. Not surprising from Peter Baumann and Phase By Phase together. eight years ago, Peter Baumann briefly lived up to their terrific name, with an insanely addictive hit single called “Daytime Logic”. This fifteen-song debut EP shows the promise that Peter Baumann has. This is my first Peter Baumann Album and i must say i am blown away.
Daytime Logic is pretty funky and mellow. Once This Day gets in your head, it will NEVER leave. Although Meridian Moorland is very melodic it is far from sad. Meadow Of Infinity - Part 1 is perhaps one of the best tracks of the past decade. Meadow Of Infinity - Part 2 is another favourite of mine. Romance is a song you cannot help but think about at odd moments in your day. Home Sweet Home sets the tone for the entire album. The first time I listened to M.A.N. Series Two I was struck by its marvelous sound. Bicentennial Presentation - Well, here we get a bit more meaning. Simple and heartfelt closing track Phase By Phase closes Phase By Phase on a high note. White Bench and Black Bench is the album’s biggest hit, I think. Lyrics of Biking Up The Strand are precise and evocative. Dance At Dawn pretty much defines how I feel spiritually.
