Rhythm and Bytes isn’t so much a record, as a great effort at dragging you into another world. Since Peter Mergener last CD (Rhythm and Bytes) on Columbia Records back in 1995, I have felt a massive void in my life. This album has some very good songs like Computermusic Part 1 and Computermusic Part 2. If I may, I suggest “Computermusic Part 1″. That one song is amazing!
Computermusic Part 2 gets you up and jumping. This song may be the most meaningful. |titile| is quite refreshing and sets the tone for what is going on in Rhythm and Bytes. The beautiful sound of this track makes you want to close your eyes and sway away with the music. I think Bits and Bytes is the best song Peter Mergener has ever done. Strong percussion and poignant lyrics of this track really gets under your skin. I loved Puls Code Modulation 1630 the first time I heard it. Data Dump is a catchy, up-tempo track that has influence of music streams without leaning too much in that direction. Rhythm and Bytes is a pleasing, and full of overall coherence that goes beyond other creations.
