Pitchshifter was a flawless and timeless record. Not surprising from Pitchshifter and Infotainment? together. ‘Infotainment?’ kicks the album off with a blast of pure pop energy. After debuting at No. 1 last week, Pitchshifter’s album Infotainment? falls to No. 2 with 645,000, a sales slide of 75%. This is one of the best cd’s i have heard through the whole thing.
Underachiever is such a astounding and optimistic song that things can get just better. (We’re Behaving Like) Insects is beautiful, yet underrated track. Virus is the best music that I have heard from anyone in any area of music. This track is nearly perfect if not perfect. Only one song from Infotainment? named (Harmless) Interlude really got me. The sound in Bloodsweatsaliva is really warm and Pitchshifter’s signature voice is still very much present. A fantastic track full of wonder. Whiteout - I used to hate this song, but now it’s one of my favorites. Phoenixology is perhaps one of the best tracks of the past decade. Pitch Sampler Vol. 1 make listening to Pitchshifter like being in some sort of time warp. No Pitchshifter song has come close to capturing my attention as Pitch Sampler Vol. 2 did.
