Now signed to Putumayo’s ForeFront Records, the title track from second album “The Laura Love Collection” leads Putumayo’s back-to-school campaign. It’s a brave and brilliant refocusing of Putumayo energies, virtually a rebirth. This compilation contains all of the biggest hits by Putumayo. Lots of variety between tracks. My favorite is If You Leave Me Now
Strong percussion and poignant lyrics of this track really gets under your skin. Bang Bang is a good listen every once in a while. Putumayo breathes new life into the music in Anyway. Less Is More is simple, dignified and effective, Putumayo refusing to over-emote, and demonstrating that less is more. In A Heartbeat is a great opener for The Laura Love Collection. Take A Ride - This one has a powerful beat and a good melody. This track is clearly meant to showcase Putumayo’s vocal abilities. Nice and different song. Although I prefer the faster paced music, I think A Ha Me A Riddle I Day is my favorite song on The Laura Love Collection. It’s such an underrated song.
