This album has some very good songs like Buon Natale, Mondo and Nettuno. Il Mago di Venezia is an amazing album, racked with beauty.This thirteen-song debut EP shows the promise that Rondo Veneziano has. I wish that “Il Mago di Venezia” album was instrumental.
Nettuno is nothing but pure genius. When I listen to Canaletto in my car when traffic ain’t going so good. In Alchimie Sonore the music gets its power. Filigrana is one of the more up-tempo songs on Il Mago di Venezia. Litorali is the albums biggest surprise. Such hits like Iridescenze will leave you hooked. Only one song from Il Mago di Venezia named Deserti Lontani really got me. This song could easily nestle itself onto the world top playlists. Tiepolo is possibly the most mysterious and inexplicable track Rondo Veneziano ever produced. Blu Oltremare is a song that will not reduce you to tears but leave you thinking long after Il Mago di Venezia have ended. In Il Mago Di Venezia the light shines equally on lyrics, vocals and instrumentation.
