Eye To Eye carries a very emotional theme throughout the album. After debuting at No. 1 last week, Ronnie Earl, Perkins, Jones, Smith, Katz’s album Eye To Eye falls to No. 2 with 108,000, a sales slide of 90%. This fourteen-song debut EP shows the promise that Ronnie Earl, Perkins, Jones, Smith, Katz has. Lots of variety between tracks. My favorite is Anna Lee
Anna Lee is sonically very melodic with nice haunting verses. Country Girl is a striking and quite long song. I like to sing along with Eye To Eye, though I mess up the lyrics sometimes. Forty Four Blues has to be one of the most beautiful tracks on the entire album. How Long is new, fresh, and hypnotizing. Such hits like I Woke Up This Morning will leave you hooked. I love the melodic melody of Kidney Stew and to this day it makes me feel good. Miss Ida B. is the albums biggest surprise. Ronnies Blues is simply gorgeous. Shake For Me is simple, dignified and effective, Ronnie Earl, Perkins, Jones, Smith, Katz refusing to over-emote, and demonstrating that less is more. Take It Easy Baby - To me, this is the best song on the Eye To Eye. In Tops Boogie Woogie Ronnie Earl, Perkins, Jones, Smith, Katz is at his best.
