This compilation contains all of the biggest hits by Ry Cooder. This is one of the best Cd’s Ry Cooder has dropped to date. This album has some very good songs like Bonde and Soukora. Such great and happy songs.
Lyrics of Soukora are precise and evocative. Gomni - I like this one. Sega is probably the most interesting track on Talking Timbuktu. Amandrai - This one is lively and fun. I like to sing along with Lasidan, though I mess up the lyrics sometimes. Music and lyrics of Keito creates, for me, fertile ground for daydreaming. Other tracks are good but your best bet is to stick with Banga. Ai Du is an upbeat song with a constant snare hit. Once you hear Diaraby, you will listen to it over and over.
