There is so much to love about Scratch Acid, starting with incredible harmonies, songwriting chops and stellar stage presence. There is no doubt that Scratch Acid has talent. This compilation contains all of the biggest hits by Scratch Acid. Cannibal and Greatest Gift is really good.
Greatest Gift is a song that will not reduce you to tears but leave you thinking long after The Greatest Gift have ended. Monsters is sonically very melodic with nice haunting verses. Get The Greatest Gift and turn on Owner’s Lament if you are going to sip your wine late at night. She Said is a great song to contemplate the modern music and what it really is all about. This song has very few things relative to that of it’s predecessor. This track is just fantastic from start to finish. Lay Screaming - isn’t quite as powerful vocally, but has a beautiful melody. Put Crazy Dan into car stereo for your highway driving So much energy, so exciting a sound.In Big Bone Lick the music gets its power. Some call Unlike a Baptist from The Greatest Gift as a quiet invitation of an artist to sit and listen. Damned for All Time (2:06) - awsome. Ain’t That Love? gives taste of what makes Scratch Acid special as a musician. Unititled rocked my world when I popped it into my car stereo. Holes - To me, this is the best song on the The Greatest Gift. Music and lyrics of Albino Slug creates, for me, fertile ground for daydreaming. Split a Kiss without a doubt is the standout song of The Greatest Gift. The sound in Amicus is really warm and Scratch Acid’s signature voice is still very much present. Cheese Plug great lyrics, dark, deep, angry and cool.I hope to keep hearing Scratch Acid works for a long time to come. Blew our minds when we first heard Mary Had a Little Drug Problem. For Crying Out Loud - This happy song is an ode to optimism and an anthem. Some of the arrangements found on The Greatest Gift are surprisingly edgy. Skin Drips is the albums biggest surprise. One listen to the sheer beauty of This Is Bliss was all I needed. Flying Houses pretty much defines how I feel spiritually. Scale Song has a fun tempo.
