Fractal Zoom carries a very emotional theme throughout the album. It has been ten years Skinny Puppy’ last studio CD, “Fractal Zoom” which won Array Grammy Awards and was nominated for album of the year. This disc has all of the essential Skinny Puppy classics. I greatly enjoyed this CD.
One Time One Place is one of my favorite songs by Skinny Puppy. I think Deadlines is the best song Skinny Puppy has ever done. You have to get essence of the Smothered Hope’s power, to truly understand this masterpiece. Assimilate (7:00) Not one of my favorites, but for a lot of people this is one of their best songs. This is the most melodic ambitious and satisfying track in Fractal Zoom. Simply the finest work ever from this multi-talented singer. The Choke + Glass House is a excellent sing-along. Brap is the most memorable and perfect. Far To Frail is a amazing song and it grows on you. Musically Addiction (Dog House Mix) is superior to other tracks in Fractal Zoom. Incision is a romantic if not formulaic ditty. Choralone is an incredible song that has everything it needs to be another favorite track.
