In I’ll Never Pass This Way Again(1949) the music gets its power. Once Paint A Rose On The Garden Wall(1949) gets in your head, it will NEVER leave. Tears Can Never Drown The Flame(1949) - This one is what it is: a powerful, primal invitation to love. I’m Casting My Lasso Towards The Sky(1949) - This one has a powerful beat and a good melody. Slim Whitman sings Wabash Waltz(1950) in such a comforting, confident voice that you can’t help but be moved. This track is clearly meant to showcase Slim Whitman’s vocal abilities. Birmingham Jail(1949) defines beauty, yet is as unforgiving as an astringent stone. Let’s Go To Church (1950) is one of the most beautiful songs ever to grace my stereo. This track is just fantastic from start to finish. Love Song Of The Waterfall(1951) is a strong cut, one of many. I like My Love Is Growing Stale(1951) because it’s extremely catchy and has awesome drumming. Rose Marie CD 1 couldn’t start better than with the up up-beat title track Bandera Waltz(1950). End Of The World(1952) is a bit of a show-tune. Still going through Rose Marie CD 1 and coming to appreciate In A Hundred Years Or More(1952) more and more with every listen. Why(1954) - A classic Slim Whitman track. What sets Cold Empty Arms(1952) apart is Slim Whitman’s innovative and organic way of creating atmospheres. This is one hell of a track. This is probably my favorite song on the album. In China Doll(1952) full palet of sound is used by Slim Whitman to accentuate the presentation. An Amateur In Love(1952) is the best music that I have heard from anyone in any area of music. Some of the arrangements found on Rose Marie CD 1 are surprisingly edgy. By The Waters Of Minnetoka(1952) is one of the best records ever. Such hits like Keep It A Secret(1952) will leave you hooked. My Heart Is Broken In Three(1952) - To me, this is the best song on the Rose Marie CD 1. All That I’m Asking Is Sympathy(1953) has a beautifully haunting disco flavor. How Can I Tell(1953) is marvelous work of Slim Whitman.
