Sly and the Family Stone had quite a long carriere and they made many hits. I am not a real funk music type of person, but i have to admit ‘Life’ really is amazing. It’s natural for Sly and the Family Stone to take a stab at ‘Dynamite!’ considering her long-professed love for East 17. Check it every song is worth the money for the Life CD!
Chicken is one of the more up-tempo songs on Life. Plastic Jim is a song that definitely grows on you and becomes an album favorite. Fun - A classic Sly and the Family Stone track. Into My Own Thing is maybe the best thing the group’s ever done. Simply the finest work ever from this multi-talented singer. Some of the arrangements found on Life are surprisingly edgy. Love City is a good listen every once in a while. The beautiful sound of this track makes you want to close your eyes and sway away with the music. M’Lady is a catchy, up-tempo track that has influence of music streams without leaning too much in that direction. Jane Is A Groupee - This one is what it is: a powerful, primal invitation to love. Only One Way Out Of This Mess is so unique, as each one of the songs is.
