Scratch The Surface isn’t so much a record, as a great effort at dragging you into another world. There is so much to love about SOIA, starting with incredible harmonies, songwriting chops and stellar stage presence. Scratch The Surface carries a very emotional theme throughout the album. Insurrection is simple, dignified and effective, SOIA refusing to over-emote, and demonstrating that less is more. Music and lyrics of Consume creates, for me, fertile ground for daydreaming. You can find feelings on this piece of art. Still going through Scratch The Surface and coming to appreciate Goatless more and more with every listen. Step Down is nothing but pure genius. Blew our minds when we first heard MalaDJusted. Scratch The Surface was the first single release from the album Scratch The Surface. Free Spirit is a gorgeous sing-along. Force My Hand is one of the best records ever. The opening track Desperate Fool is very much like you would expect from other albums. Return To Reality (2:45) Not one of my favorites, but for a lot of people this is one of their best songs. |titile| is a sure sign of something most of us are experiencing, maturity. SOIA breathes new life into the music in Ceasefire.
