Thom Yorke has compared writing for Sonic Youth’s new album to that on ‘Be My Sisiter In Death’ - but has declared the lyrics will be even more terrifying. Sonic Youth had quite a long carriere and they made many hits. This is one of the best Cd’s Sonic Youth has dropped to date. This album is in perfect progression from Sonic Youth!
This is probably my favorite song on the album. White Cross is a exquisite, simple song by Sonic Youth at the top of his game. Such hits like Cotton Crown will leave you hooked. In this song fans will recognize the unique vocals of Sonic Youth. Brother James is a song that definitely grows on you and becomes an album favorite. Pipeline is perhaps one of the best tracks of the past decade. Hot Wire My Heart is a song to savor, to listen to from every angle. Sonic Youth rocks harder than ever with Beauty Lies In The Eyes. Pacific Coast Highway is probably the highlight of the album. |titile| is a sure sign of something most of us are experiencing, maturity. Tuff Gnarl is a bit of a show-tune. Tunic is a striking and quite long song. This track is nearly perfect if not perfect. Kill Your Idols is just simply stunning. This track is almost perfect, instrumentals and vocals combine awesomely. Mary Christ - I like this one. Don’t judge Cool Thing on the first listening.
