Sonic Youth was a flawless and timeless record. Not surprising from Sonic Youth and Whore’s Moaning Maxi-Single together. Lead single “Sugar Kane (Edit)” and “Personality Crisis” start with near-whispers before kicking into giddily catchy, fuzz box-driven hollered hooks. This disc has all of the essential Sonic Youth classics. I greatly enjoyed this CD.
If you are a Sonic Youth fan, you will love Personality Crisis. The End Of The End Of The Ugly is the exquisite blend of moody yet optimistic tunes. Is It My Body is a catchy, up-tempo track that has influence of music streams without leaning too much in that direction. Tamra is a fine track on any terms.
