On the Singapore charts, superstar Steven Halpern and Suru’s career stalled before it left the starting gate. Self-described as Ambient with lots of words, Steven Halpern and Suru comes out swinging on perhaps his best album to date. It’s a brave and brilliant refocusing of Steven Halpern and Suru energies, virtually a rebirth. Exciting stuff.
Dance Of Strength - A strong beat. Chic To Sheik good vocals. Astro-Glide which is my favorite is a truly Steven Halpern and Suru sounding song. A great put together song. Rhythm Method is the funkiest number on the album. Chango is possibly the best song Steven Halpern and Suru has come up. I now have Wachamba as one of my personal favorites. Chant The Spirit is the exquisite blend of moody yet optimistic tunes. Music in Invocation is cool as in all tracks of Afro-Desia. Legacy gives good insight into the truths. Some call Suru Smiles from Afro-Desia as a quiet invitation of an artist to sit and listen. Voices On The Mountain - This is a very lively song. Initiation is possibly the most mysterious and inexplicable track Steven Halpern and Suru ever produced.
