Atlantis is an amazing album, racked with beauty.It has been fifteen years Sun Ra’ last studio CD, “Atlantis” which won Array MTV Music Awards and was nominated for album of the year. IF YOU LIKE ALL Sun Ra’S SONG GO FOR IT! Atlantis is not something you should pass up.
I have all of Sun Ra’s tracks and 02 lemuria is probably the most his introspective effort. 03 yucatan (saturn version) still maintains something of a specific flourish. 04 yucatan (impulse version) had me crying as I was able to relate so well. Although I prefer the faster paced music, I think 05 bimini is my favorite song on Atlantis. Sun Ra is one of artists that allow his songs like 06 atlantis to stand on their own and be heard.
