Lead single “In” and “I Am The Sun” start with near-whispers before kicking into giddily catchy, fuzz box-driven hollered hooks. It has been three years Swans’ last studio CD, “The Great Anihilator” which won Array Academy Awards and was nominated for album of the year. Nowhere is this more so than on their re-working of Swans on ‘In’. IT makes me wanna dance!
You can find feelings on this piece of art. She Lives! gives good insight into the truths. I find myself hearing bits of Celebrity Lifestyle here and there throughout my waking hours. Mother-Father is another favourite of mine. Blood Promise is possibly the most mysterious and inexplicable track Swans ever produced. I was truly moved when I heard Mind-Body-Light-Sound. Music and lyrics of My Buried Child creates, for me, fertile ground for daydreaming. Warm - a classic song. Swans has created something that grabs you by the heart and gets you moving. Killing For Company is such a astounding and optimistic song that things can get just better. Mother’s Milk - This one makes me want to not only sing along. This song is like perfectly aged vintage bordeaux wine not a tequila shot. Telepathy (6:12) - Oh, this is one of my favorites! This is the kind of song I think of when I think of Swans. I came to like Out.
