ten years ago, Tania Maria briefly lived up to their terrific name, with an insanely addictive hit single called “Eric’s Blues”. Bluesilian isn’t so much a record, as a great effort at dragging you into another world. After seeing Yes Is the Way to Go, I had to have a good Tania Maria cd. Yes Is the Way to Go and Eric’s Blues is really good.
Eric’s Blues on Bluesilian is solid and easy to listen to. Za Za makes a person feel astounding. Lyrics of Bluesilian are precise and evocative. Excellent vocals and musical performances. Rebordosa (The Day After) is an incredible song that has everything it needs to be another favorite track. This track is a great song that still never gets old. Please Me is nothing short of a modern masterpiece. If I Could Change is just a great song and one well worth taking the time to give it a good listen. From My Window still maintains something of a specific flourish. Oxal - I used to hate this song, but now it’s one of my favorites.
