After debuting at No. 1 last week, The Band’s album Across the Great Divide (CD1) falls to No. 2 with 427,000, a sales slide of 96%. Now signed to The Band’s SixSteps records, the title track from second album “Across the Great Divide (CD1)” leads The Band’s back-to-school campaign. This is one of the best Cd’s The Band has dropped to date. Unappreciated gift to Country
The Band breathes new life into the music in The Weight. I Shall Be Released - A strong beat. Chest Fever is really a nice song to relax and listen too. In A Station - This is a very lively song. I hope to keep hearing The Band works for a long time to come. Lonesome Suzie is simply amazing. Rag Mama Rag is the more seemingly obscure song on Across the Great Divide (CD1) that bear up best to repeated listening. Opening track The Night They Drove Old Dixie Down shows the best of The Band. King Harvest (Has Surely Come) - This one is what it is: a powerful, primal invitation to love. Rockin’ Chair - a classic song. Whispering Pines is an underrated song: I like its lyrics and melody a lot. Up On Cripple Creek motivates you to get up and do something to improve your life and the life of others. Across The Great Divide is one of the most beautiful songs ever to grace my stereo. It’s so catchy, it’s amazing. Shape I’m In one of the most beautiful songs i’ve ever heard. Daniel and The Sacred Harp gives taste of what makes The Band special as a musician. From the moment you listen to All La Glory you’re hooked. There is cool mix of music in Stage Fright.
