There is no doubt that The Brecker Brothers has talent. It’s a brave and brilliant refocusing of The Brecker Brothers energies, virtually a rebirth. seven years ago, The Brecker Brothers briefly lived up to their terrific name, with an insanely addictive hit single called “Evocations”. It is very deep stuff - very exciting
Evocations is a nice, innocuous song, and much better than anything The Brecker Brothers released so far. I now have Scrunch as one of my personal favorites. I have all of The Brecker Brothers’s tracks and Secret Heart is probably the most his introspective effort. African Skies is the song that really did it for me. Outside of the singles, my favorite song on Out Of The Loop is When It Wos. Put Harpoon into car stereo for your highway driving The Nightwalker make listening to The Brecker Brothers like being in some sort of time warp. I believe And Then She Wept is one of the most amazing, heartfelt songs ever written.
