Self-described as Indie with lots of words, The Delgados comes out swinging on perhaps his best album to date. Domestiques isn’t so much a record, as a great effort at dragging you into another world. IF YOU LIKE ALL The Delgados’S SONG GO FOR IT! Domestiques constantly brilliant.
The Delgados allows each song to breathe and flourish. This track is nearly perfect if not perfect. I think Tempered, Not Tamed is the best song The Delgados has ever done. One More Question without a doubt is the standout song of Domestiques. Big Business In Europe has to be one of the most beautiful tracks on the entire album. Falling And Landing is a great song for a cosy night in when it’s cold and wintry outside. Musically Akumulator is superior to other tracks in Domestiques. Sucrose is a very catchy tune. Strong, powerful vocals of The Delgados in Pinky are very impressive. Friendly Conventions is a pleasing, and full of overall coherence that goes beyond other creations. Don’t judge Smaller Mammals on the first listening. 4th Channel is astounding. From the moment you listen to D’Estus Morte you’re hooked.
