On Middle Class Revolt album, The Fall have renewed their membership in the ‘if it ain’t broke…’ school of songwriting. Now signed to The Fall’s Columbia Records, the title track from second album “Middle Class Revolt” leads The Fall’s back-to-school campaign. This fifteen-song debut EP shows the promise that The Fall has. Another great offering from The Fall.
A great put together song. Behind the Counter had me crying as I was able to relate so well. First time I heard M5#1 was on radio driving in my car and sonically it just sounded amazing. The Fall breathes new life into the music in Surmount All Obstacles. Middle Class Revolt is nothing short of a modern masterpiece. War is a very catchy tune. After about the third You’re Not up to Much listen through, I began to believe this song is The Fall’s essence. Symbol of Mordgan is a great opener for Middle Class Revolt. This track is possibly the biggest guilty pleasure on Middle Class Revolt. In Junk Man The Fall is at his best. I like the idea behind $500 Bottle of Wine. The Fall has astounded me with this amazing track. Still going through Middle Class Revolt and coming to appreciate Shut Up more and more with every listen.
