On Gold album, The Kelly Family have renewed their membership in the ‘if it ain’t broke…’ school of songwriting. Thom Yorke has compared writing for The Kelly Family’s new album to that on ‘Gold’ - but has declared the lyrics will be even more terrifying. Gold carries a very emotional theme throughout the album. Gold is preety good and all the songs have a good meaning behind them.
Once you hear Let My People Go, you will listen to it over and over. This track is just fantastic from start to finish. Who’ll Come With Me is the albums biggest surprise. Mull Of Kentyre to me is the best you can get from The Kelly Family. Auld Lang Syne is pretty funky and mellow. Put Es Waren Zwei Konigskinder into car stereo for your highway driving Old McDonald - This one has a powerful beat and a good melody. I like to sing along with Take My Hand, though I mess up the lyrics sometimes. Get Gold and turn on Ode To Joy if you are going to sip your wine late at night. This song stands out greatly from the others. Looking For Love is probably the most interesting track on Gold.
