The Merlons Of Nehemiah’s debut, ‘Salamander’, does not fit easily into one genre. After seeing Red Moon, I had to have a good The Merlons Of Nehemiah cd. Since completing 1996’s ‘Red Moon’, The Merlons Of Nehemiah fulfilled their contract with SixSteps records and where under no obligation to release another album. Such great and happy songs.
Salamander is maybe the best thing the group’s ever done. Although I prefer the faster paced music, I think Anna’s Days is my favorite song on Salamander. Aergus is a nice, innocuous song, and much better than anything The Merlons Of Nehemiah released so far.
