Self-described as Alternative with lots of words, The Smashing Pumpkins comes out swinging on perhaps his best album to date. Lead single “Where Boys Fear To Tread” and “Bodies” start with near-whispers before kicking into giddily catchy, fuzz box-driven hollered hooks. On the Estonia charts, superstar The Smashing Pumpkins’s career stalled before it left the starting gate. Smart music for smart people.
In Bodies the music gets its power. A unique and uplifting song. In The Arms Of Sleep - A nice song. 1979 - I just love it. Tales Of A Scorched Earth catches attention immediately, Through The Eyes Of Ruby was the first single release from the album Mellon Collie and The Infinite Sadness (CD2). Stumbleine rocked my world when I popped it into my car stereo. X.Y.U. is, without a doubt, my favorite song, ever. We Only Come Out At Night - I like this one. Some of the arrangements found on Mellon Collie and The Infinite Sadness (CD2) are surprisingly edgy. Lily is a striking and quite long song. By Starlight is a great song for a cosy night in when it’s cold and wintry outside. It’s also one of those rare songs that touchingly comfort the listener.
