This is the first studio album from The Smashing Pumpkins since bad diagnosis in 1996. The Smashing Pumpkins was a flawless and timeless record. Not surprising from The Smashing Pumpkins and Thirty Three together. There is no doubt that The Smashing Pumpkins has talent. Smart music for smart people.
I listened to the opening track The Last Song and liked it a lot. The Aeroplane Flies High (turns Left, Looks Right) - A nice song. Transformer is probably one of The Smashing Pumpkins’s biggest successes for the album - it’s lovely to listen to. It is succeeded by an outstanding track, however: The Bells, which shows, blatantly, how much The Smashing Pumpkins has evolved as a singer. Simply the finest work ever from this multi-talented singer.
