The Velvet Underground’s debut, ‘Peel Slowly and See’, does not fit easily into one genre. There were many famous songs of The Velvet Underground available. On the Canada charts, superstar The Velvet Underground’s career stalled before it left the starting gate. It’s also one of those rare songs that touchingly comfort the listener. It’s such an underrated song. Put I’m Waiting for the Man [Demo Version] into car stereo for your highway driving One of the more genuine-sounding songs is Wrap Your Troubles in Dreams. I’ve found myself listening to All Tomorrow’s Parties [Demo Version] back to back and back many times. This is the most melodic ambitious and satisfying track in Peel Slowly and See. Melody Laughter [Live] has a gorgeous instrumental sound, which lets The Velvet Underground’s strong vocals come to the fore. It Was a Pleasure Then as well as many of songs is a short story in miniature. Chelsea Girls hits the heart. There Is No Reason [Demo Version] is probably the most interesting track on Peel Slowly and See. Sheltered Life [Demo Version] is the song that really did it for me. I have all of The Velvet Underground’s tracks and It’s All Right (The Way That You Live) [Demo Version] is probably the most his introspective effort. I’m Not Too Sorry (Now That You’re Gone) [Demo Version] is The Velvet Underground’s best work in years. Here She Comes Now [Demo Version] is a striking and quite long song. I think Guess I’m Falling in Love [Live] is the best song The Velvet Underground has ever done. Booker T. [Live] - a classic song. I loved Stephanie Says the first time I heard it. The Velvet Underground rocks harder than ever with Temptation Inside Your Heart. This track is just fantastic from start to finish. Music and lyrics of What Goes On [Live] creates, for me, fertile ground for daydreaming. Candy Says [Alternate Closet Mix] is gorgeous song though, very addictive. The sound of What Goes On [Alternate Closet Mix] is difficult to describe, as it seems to squirm in a sensual manner, unlike anything ever created. Some Kinda Love [Alternate Closet Mix] is astounding work of The Velvet Underground. Pale Blue Eyes [Alternate Closet Mix] - This one makes me want to not only sing along. Jesus [Alternate Closet Mix] actually sounds so joyous, that you can practically see a smile on The Velvet Underground’s face. Beginning to See the Light [Alternate Closet Mix] had me crying as I was able to relate so well. I’m Set Free [Alternate Closet Mix] is perfect. That’s the Story of My Life [Alternate Closet Mix] - I like this one. Murder Mystery [Alternate Closet Mix] sets the tone for the entire album. The Velvet Underground is hitting on all cylinders in After Hours [Alternate Closet Mix]. Foggy Notion without a doubt is the standout song of Peel Slowly and See. It’s so catchy, it’s amazing. The Velvet Underground has astounded me with this amazing track. One of These Days is a romantic if not formulaic ditty. Still going through Peel Slowly and See and coming to appreciate Lisa Says more and more with every listen. This track is possibly the biggest guilty pleasure on Peel Slowly and See. This song may be the most meaningful. Sweet Jane [Full Length Version] is a strong cut, one of many. New Age [Full Length Version] gives taste of what makes The Velvet Underground special as a musician. Opening track Satellite of Love shows the best of The Velvet Underground. Blew our minds when we first heard Walk and Talk It. This song is like perfectly aged vintage bordeaux wine not a tequila shot. Sad Song (3:34) a good melody. Ocean is a bit of a show-tune. Ride into the Sun is just a great song and one well worth taking the time to give it a good listen. The Velvet Underground has created something that grabs you by the heart and gets you moving. I’ll Be Your Mirror [Live] is perhaps one of the best tracks of the past decade. I Love You - For me, this is the best of the album.
