This disc has all of the essential Timbiriche classics. Nowhere is this more so than on their re-working of Timbiriche on ‘La banda timbiriche’. ‘20 Kilates Musicales’ kicks the album off with a blast of pure pop energy. Enjoy the show.
This track is full of harmonies and gets 20 Kilates Musicales off to a relaxing start. First time I heard Noches de verano was on radio driving in my car and sonically it just sounded amazing.In amor primero the music gets its power. This track is clearly meant to showcase Timbiriche’s vocal abilities. Corro vuelo me acelero is new, fresh, and hypnotizing. The opening track Soy un desastre is very much like you would expect from other albums. This track, in particular, has the kind of undeniably catchy flavor. I now have Magico amor as one of my personal favorites. Mirame [cuestion de tiempo] is a marvelous, simple song by Timbiriche at the top of his game. It’s very catchy and easy to get into which is what you want in a song. Si no es ahora is worth the money. Con todos menos conmigo is nothing short of a modern masterpiece. Tu y yo somos uno mismo is the more seemingly obscure song on 20 Kilates Musicales that bear up best to repeated listening. I came to like amame hasta con los dientes. Me estas volviendo loca - I used to hate this song, but now it’s one of my favorites. acelerar is a great song to contemplate the modern music and what it really is all about. No Se Si Es Amor (It Must Have Been Love) catches attention immediately, Princesa Tibetana is one of the coolest songs Timbiriche has ever recorded. When I listen to Me pongo mal in my car when traffic ain’t going so good. Rompezabezas is possibly the most mysterious and inexplicable track Timbiriche ever produced. Muriendo lento - This is a very lively song.
